My research focuses on a quite novel area both in practice and science: returns management. Returns management is the supply chain management process that deals with the handling and recovery of products and packaging material from any position in the supply chain including the end-user. The management of returns is an increasing problem due to the increasing flow of resources to recycle and to the increasing flow of returns from hesitant consumers due to size, fit and quality issues.
I have been fortunate to present parts of my research in conferences such as NOFOMA and ISL and these papers can be found in the respective conference proceedings. Other results of my research have been published in international journals such as the International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management, Electronic Commerce Research and the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management.
