Henrik Sternberg
Dr. Henrik Sternberg is an associate professor at ReLog. His research is focused on freight distribution networks, LSP operations, logistics collaboration, road freight cabotage, intelligent packaging, transport security and regulation and logistics information systems. Henrik defended his doctoral dissertation “Waste in Road Transport Operations – Using Information Sharing to Increase Efficiency” in 2011 at Chalmers University of Technology. Dr. Sternberg has been involved in numerous national and international research and advisory projects, such as, Cabotagestudien, Closer Starfish, Swedish Government ITS Council – National Freight ITS Roadmap, Cassandra, Port Pilot Gothenburg and Logistics for Life. Before pursuing an academic career, Henrik was consultant at Cambridge Technology Partners, working with companies like Deutsche Post and Deutsche Bahn. His teaching interests are freight transport and information systems in supply chain management and he is a certified SAP erpSIM instructor.
Dr. Sternberg’s research combines theory, practice and "out of the box thinking" – his research and innovations have been adopted by numerous companies and authorities and his scientific results are published in top logistics, transport and computer science journals, including the Journal of Business Logistics, International Journal of Physical distribution and logistics management, Computers in Industry, Transportation Journal and International Journal of Logistics.
