Innovations, or rather developments, in the food and packaging sector have been my main interest during the more than thirty years that I worked with product and packaging development at Findus/Nestlé and Tetra Pak. My licentiate thesis dealt with “The Rise of the Swedish Food Sector after WW II – What, Why, How and Who?” and led to questions about the present situation in Sweden: Who is expected to take the lead in new innovations and particularly how and with whom is this going to happen? My doctoral thesis with the title “The Potential for Innovation in the Swedish Food Sector” was published in May 2011.
