I started with a research project concerning packaging logistics evaluation along a retail supply chain.This project was carried out in close cooperation with leading Swedish retail and food companies. The results of the project were presented in a Technical Licentiate thesis in 2002-05-02. The objectives of my research were to describe the packaging logistics system and provide methods to analyse it. What I have achieved is suggesting an analysis model that can help today's industry in evaluating and developing efficient packaging concepts, and contribute to develop the concept of packaging logistics. I presented my Ph.D. dissertation on September 6, 2004.
