Sustainable development, digitalisation and business models are topics that interest Innovation Engineering´s twenty new degree students. They have just started their Master Theses Projects where they – together with industry and business – explore various issues to contribute to new knowledge and societal benefits. Some project theme examples are:

• How will the EU’s new taxonomy affect sustainable investments? The taxonomy classifies which activities are sustainable, to give the financial sector joint guidelines for when investments qualify as “green”.  
• What kind of technology will Generation Z want to use by the year 2030 to interact with companies during their “pre-purchase phase”? Generation Z refers to those born in the late 1990s and early 2000s. 
• Is it possible to connect carbon dioxide emission calculations with financial transactions to follow-up in one’s personal banking app? Could such a calculation influence peoples’ consumption and lifestyle? 
• How can companies in the startup phase evaluate their environmental impact based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals?
• How can scholarships support higher education in developing countries?
• How is the market and its businesses affected by additive manufacturing – and what significance does additive manufacturing have on the business models?

The Master Theses will be presented the 2nd and 3rd of June 2021 – more information can be found on Innovation Engineering´s website a couple of weeks prior to that date.
