Optimal and sustainable packaging solutions, storage conditions, efficient & reliable transportation and traceability throughout the food supply chain are essential components – not only to protect our food and ensure food safety but also to maintain quality, shelf life and reduce food waste.

The interaction between the food and its protecting packaging along with the logistic systems to transport and distribute our food around the globe are vital to understand – especially now when innovative bio-based packaging materials and solutions are emerging on the market.
